Excellent Inspirational Weight Watchers Poem . . .

This was posted on a groups page I am a new member to, and I really loved it and wanted to share it for anyone reading my blog. Shared by another member and posted here by me.

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town

When you want to give up just because you gave in,
And forgot all about being healthy and thin.

So What! You went over your points a bit,
It's your next move that counts...So don't quit!

It's a moment of truth, it an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back to your range.

It's telling yourself, "you've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."

It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.

To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.

But, often the strugglers, when losing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.

And learn too late when the damage is done,
That the race wasn't over and they still could have won.

Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow, But facing each challenge will help you to grow.

Success is failure turned inside out, The sliver tint in the cloud of doubt.

When you're pushing to the brink just refuse to submit. If you bite it, you write it...But Don't You Quit!!

I'm a blogging virgin . . . .

Good day everyone,

This is my first ever blog entry - EVER!

I thought I would try this to keep on track with my weight loss journey and hold myself accountable to the goals I have set for myself.

My first day of following the Flex Points program with Weight Watchers was Wednesday April 1st, 2009, so I am officially on day three of my journey. I will be doing a weekly weigh in starting on Sunday April 5th - so the first one will be two days shy of a full week, but the day works better for a weigh in for me.

Hungry - but very excited! I know that if I can quit smoking after 25 years, I can pretty much do anything I set my mind to. I started last summer at 247lbs. Began exercising a bit (walking on the treadmill, lost 20lbs and since quitting smoking & getting lazy after minor surgery (on March 2nd) I have gained 10lbs of it back.

So here I am - weighed in on the 1st at 237.2 lbs - did not take any measurements, but I will for Sunday's weigh in on the 5th.

For today, I am a little uncomfortable and tired with the effects of drinking all of this water, so I had a troubled sleep with about 4-5 urgent wake up calls and I see it has continued throughout the morning quite the same - LOL

I'll have to adjust and I am sure it will lessen as my body adjusts to the extra fluid intake. That's about it for today, pushing away the junk food cravings (I'm a carb addict by the way) and just keep repeating in my head that ole saying " a moment on the lips . . . " and leave it there.

Have a great week!
